Most of the recurring characters, like Kira or Athrun, are portrayed
nicely. Both Kira and Athrun have become more mature (although they still
have their own dilemmas to sort out). So did Lacus, although her next to
total dependence on Kira may seem annoying for some fans (to me, it

In my view, the story is the main weak point of the series. I haven't seen
any of the other Gundam series (except for Gundam SEED Destiny), but even
so I couldn't help but notice the acute lack of originality. Basically,
it's just 'another' war story, with the hero who doesn't want to fight,

What do you get when you mix insanely powerful vampires, ghouls, guns and
a perpetual conflict between the Anglican and Catholic churches
