CHARACTER DUMP

Final warning ~ if you feel offended by anything I wrote here, then don't read on. Alternatively, you *can* drop me a line with your counter-arguments if you feel that I've judged a character unjustly, but don't flame. I'll simply ignore you if you do :P

BOUNTO [BLEACH]

Bounto are filler characters. Nonetheless, I tried giving them a chance. I really did. But I ended up hating their guts. Their powers hardly make sense (Yoshino's Doll, for instance, is plain dumb - a talking fan and a talking sword joined by some sort of infinitely-extending chain? Please.), they're annoying, they're ugly (except maybe for Khariya - at least in his young days, when he had long hair), they've got the stupidest lines ever... and all in all, I'm glad the script writers decided to do away with them in the end. I threw a party when the last of them kicked the bucket.

INOUE ORIHIME [BLEACH]

Orihime is precisely the cute, funny, innocent, clumsy, goodie-goodie damzel-in-distress character stereotype that I hate the most. She's got big boobs (God knows I hate that), she hardly ever helps in a battle (all she ever does is scream 'Kurosaki-kun!' or 'Ishida-kun!' or whatever all the time, or end up in a pinch and wait for some knight in shiny armor to save her), and besides, she's got fairies coming out of her hair pins. That's just... eww.

URAHARA KEISUKE [BLEACH]

Strangely, I've seen lots of Urahara fans / fansites / fanlistings on the net. Plainly put, I simply can't understand why anyone would like this guy. Sure, he's got an interesting background and all, but he looks ridiculous (I especially dislike the hat) and he's not that much of a funny character, either. As for the rest of the guys working in his shop... -_- they're annoying as hell.

[Side note: I remember reading a Kurotsuchi Mayuri / Urahara Keisuke NC-17 fic once on aff.net. How sick do you have to be to write something like that? *shivers*]

TALIA GLADYS [GUNDAM SEED DESTINY]

There's one major thing I hate about Talia Gladys, and that's her voice. Whenever she shouted 'Fire!', '10 degrees to starboard' or some other order, I flinched. Big time. Her voice has to be the most annoying one I've ever heard in an anime >_>

KAGALLI YULA ATHA [GUNDAM SEED DESTINY]

Kagalli was OK in Gundam SEED. I wasn't exactly crazy about her, but she didn't bother me, either. But in Gundam SEED Destiny, I felt the urge to punch her through the screen nearly every time she appeared. GSD Kagalli is just a crying brat who can't make up her mind about anything - so all she does is go into a fit, screw things up even worse and wait for Kira to save her. And as for the battle at wherever-it-was that Kagalli tried to stop her fleet, Kira came in saving the day and pretexted he was acting because Kagalli was crying... lame. There's something I never would have expected - for Kagalli to turn into a Mary Sue / damzel in distress character. The script writers should be hanged upside-down from their toes for that. [Spoiler follows, highlight to read] Well, at least she and Athurn broke up in the end. He was definitely too good for her.

AYA NATSUME [TENJOU TENGE]

How annoying can a character get? Very. I never understood why Aya was supposed to be such an important character in the series. The way she fell in love with Soichiro was dumb [in fact, the whole scene where Soichiro fell through the roof etc. was dumb]. Her head's always up in the clouds, she's a crying Mary Sue, and on top of all that, she's got some sort of mystical / magical power that she can use to kick butt [there's your unfortunate combination]. Besides, her voice always got on my nerves.
