Grandparents' place

I need a shower. I really, really, really need a shower. I'd risk taking one here, but then again, I doubt they have hot running water. And even if they did, I doubt I wouldn't catch a cold after that. Besides, the bathroom is totally last century, and if I'm unlucky enough I might even have a spider crawling down my back before I'm out. So showers are out of question. For now. My hair looks like I dipped my head in a bucket of grease. And I'd readily do [almost] anything for an Internet connection -- or even an Internet cafe that's open. Earlier today I went to look for one together with my mum. The one and only Internet cafe in town was closed. (We did run into a gigolo-wannabe priest instead.)

Right now, I'm working on a new version for Seven Stars [adding in nearly all my old fanfiction, original stories, rants etc.] and listening to gipsy music. The music even seems nice. I must be more tired than I realize >.<

I finished the X-Men: Evolution and Beast Wars / Beast Machines fanfiction sections on Seven Stars and I thought I'd reward myself with a nice cigarette [no idea why I keep smoking even though my lungs all but jump out and spit on me, but oh well]. Then I opened the window - and froze my butt off for the next ten minutes or so. I threw the ciggie away around two thirds off. WTF do I keep doing this?!

On to better news, I had a brilliant Legacy of Kain story idea... XD Just hope I'll have enough time to write it this century. Once I'm back in Bucharest, life will be a pain in the circuits once again...

Replacing my penname on each slaggin' page, from 'Odeena Skywalker' to 'Odeena Sabnach', is a true and absolute pain in the @$$. Wish I would've thought of an original penname from the beginning...

Reading up some of my old stories really cracks me up. If it does that to me, I can only imagine what it did to my poor readers back then :)) How long ago was it? Four, five years ago...? Damn, I really oughta start writing again O.o Can't let such talents go to waste! [And no, I'm not narcissistic. Well... not really.]

Just got a call from a friend. Not the friend I'd been expecting a call / SMS / whatever from in the last three days, but still. At first I didn't want to answer; then again, it turned out the guy genuinely missed me. Nice!

On other news, the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter [don't ask] sections on SS are done. Taking a break. Maybe I'll smoke another cigarette, too.

My laptop just went kaput on me [read: shut down without a warning]. Thank whoever's up there I'd saved everything. Well, *this* is what you get for plugging your gear into a 50-year-old electrical installation, for crying out loud! And yes, I'm pissed. Slightly, anyway.

The fun part begins: I'm working on the Blood Omen 2 screenshots album for SS. Yay!

Side note: Sometimes, I think these nights at work are the most interesting part of my life. Of course, we all know that's not true (?). But at least they're fun, right? For me, anyway. And for the never-dwindling voices in my head :)

Smoked another ciggie. This time, I wisely put my coat on. As a result, I didn't freeze. Well, not that bad, anyway. Outside, the puddles I could make out in the distance are already frozen stick. Go figure.

Back to work now... Screenshots album done. Time to archive more fanfiction. I've also got some thoughts about promoting my website in mind...

Mum came over to check on me. Surprisingly enough, she didn't b*tch about me being up so late. Maybe she's finally starting to understand that I actually put my heart and soul in this stuff. Maybe...
